Real impact; pilot session completed!

Dear reader,

About two weeks ago, on Thursday July 9, we took three people from a local community centre out surfing in Polzeath. Here a summary of what was achieved with the help of 28 sponsors through the GoFundMe donation page*:

- Minibus hire from another charity called Active8 in Bude, who work with disabled youngsters. The CEO felt connected to the aim of The SACKED Project.

- Three people, volunteers at a community cafe, joined the pilot.

- George's Surf School, where I work in Polzeath, assisted by allowing me to run the pilot parallel to the Thursday Gent's Surf Club.

- The participants took a notebook home for diary-style reflection which they were told to do within 24hrs after the session.

- Because we ran an evening session, freshly baked pizza's were provided afterwards.

This could not have happened without the support of my close network. So if you sponsored The SACKED Project: Thank You!

Thanks for reading, and hope you enjoy this sun-spilled summer, and get to ride some waves yourself!

Go steady.
